2. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android application GridLume Sudoku, package name com.multies.sudoku. It covers the current app features, including Classic Sudoku, Logic Journey, Daily Challenge, Academy, achievements, statistics, themes, hints, in-app rewards, and advertising.

This policy does not govern third-party websites or services that have their own privacy policies.

3. Information stored locally on your device

The app stores the information needed to provide and remember your game experience locally on your device. This may include:

• puzzle state, completed levels, stars, scores, mistakes, hints, and elapsed time;
• Logic Journey, Daily Challenge, Academy, achievement, streak, and statistics progress;
• language, theme, sound, board, accessibility, and other app preferences;
• Lume Points, Ad Points, earned rewards, ad-free entitlement status, and advertising frequency controls;
• technical flags needed to prevent duplicate rewards and maintain normal app operation.

MULTIES does not operate a user-account or cloud-profile system for GridLume Sudoku and does not receive this local gameplay data on its own servers. Depending on your device and Android backup settings, the operating system or your device provider may back up and restore some app data under its own terms.

4. Advertising and consent management

GridLume Sudoku uses Google AdMob to display interstitial and optional rewarded advertisements. The app also uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and store privacy choices where required.

Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google’s configuration, Google and its advertising partners may process:

Where required, UMP presents the applicable privacy choices before the app requests ads. Whether an ad is personalized depends on your choices, regional rules, and the ad provider’s settings. You may revisit available privacy choices through Settings → Manage privacy when that option is required and made available by UMP. You can also manage or delete your Android advertising ID in your device’s privacy settings.

Rewarded advertisements are voluntary. Core Sudoku gameplay does not require you to watch a rewarded ad.

5. Third-party services

The app may interact with the following Google services:

• Google Play: app distribution, installation, updates, and security. GridLume Sudoku does not offer purchases in its current version.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related diagnostics.
• Google User Messaging Platform: presentation and storage of consent and privacy choices.

6. Purposes and legal bases

Information is processed only as needed to provide the game, remember settings, display and control ads, honor consent choices, prevent fraud and duplicate rewards, maintain security and stability, answer messages you send, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, processing may be based on your consent, performance of a service you request, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as securing and maintaining the app and preventing fraud, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing where consent is the applicable legal basis.

7. How to delete data and request deletion

GridLume Sudoku does not provide user accounts, so there is no remote GridLume account to delete. The following options apply to different types of information:

• Local game data: puzzles, progress, preferences, statistics, and in-app rewards remain on your device until you use any relevant in-app reset control, clear GridLume Sudoku’s app storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling may permanently erase progress. If you use Android or device backups, a separate backup copy may be governed by your device or backup provider’s settings.
• Support messages sent to MULTIES: to request deletion of a message or other personal information you sent directly to MULTIES, email admin@multies.net and mention “GridLume Sudoku” and the information you want deleted. We may ask for details needed to locate your message and verify the request. We will handle it under applicable law and tell you if any information must be retained for legal or other valid reasons. Support correspondence is otherwise kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain appropriate records, prevent abuse, or comply with law.
• Google advertising and consent data: Google or other applicable providers retain and delete data under their own policies and settings. MULTIES cannot directly delete their records. Use Settings → Manage privacy when available, your device’s advertising privacy controls, or Google’s advertising controls to manage applicable choices.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal data processed by MULTIES, and the right to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Because gameplay information is stored locally and is not linked to an account held by MULTIES, MULTIES may not possess or be able to identify that information. You can control it directly on your device. For requests concerning information you sent to MULTIES, including deletion requests, contact admin@multies.net as described in section 7.

9. Security and international transfers

MULTIES applies reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the app and the information involved. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS according to Google’s SDK disclosure.

Google and its service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, such transfers are handled under the safeguards and legal mechanisms described in the relevant provider’s privacy terms. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

10. Intended audience and children’s privacy

GridLume Sudoku is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. This intended-audience designation is separate from the game’s content rating. MULTIES does not knowingly request names, contact details, or account information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to MULTIES, contact admin@multies.net so the matter can be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

11. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app, its services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when an update is published. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel when required.
